Usually, when I'm shooting golf course photos, the goal is to provide the golf course in question with commercial shots of the course that can appropriately be used on its web site or in its marketing materials, but then there are those times when I just have to wander off in my own direction.
This shot was taken at one of my favorite courses in Georgia The River Club, in Suwanee. The techniques I used in editing and processing this image take advantage of the new, HDR technology that I'm exploring with total zeal. HDR can be used to present a much more realistic, hyper-real image, which is what I'm doing most of the time, but this amazing technology also allows me to explore some much more creative directions, as evidenced here.
